Company
Payless Car Rental is a privately held company and is part of the Avalon Global Group of companies. Founded in 1971, it was a small hometown operation in Spokane Washington. Today, through our partnership with Network Car and Truck Rental we have combined presence in over 80 locations worldwide. Payless is an international firm with a customer service focus.

As of January of 2005, Payless Car Rental is under the direction of Richard Stevens, President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Payless History:

1971	Payless is founded by Les Netterstron in Spokane, Washington.

1982	Payless grows to 100 rental offices.

1987	Payless acquires U.S. portion of Canadian founded Holiday Rent A Car. Computer automated central reservation system is built.

1989	Payless Acquisition Inc. purchases stock shares of Payless Car Rental System, Inc. Payless Car Rental image is created.

1994	Corporate marketing strategy strengthened with rollout of Championship Club program.

1999	REZlink International formed to provide reservations technology to Payless and other travel related companies.

2002	Payless acquires corporate stores in Orlando and Tampa, Florida.

2003	Cooperative Agreement formed with Sixt Rent A Car. Sixt has a presence in over 60 countries and 2,400 service outlets.

2004	Partnership formed with Network Car & Truck Rentals. Network operates in 90 locations covering all Australian States. Payless opens its third corporate store in Atlanta, Georgia.

2005	Payless Car Rental names Richard Stevens as its President. Payless opens a corporate store in Denver, Colorado. Payless opens a corporate store in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

2006	Payless opens a corporate store in Phoenix, Arizona.
